M14 to M12 Stud Kit

Q. I was emailing with a question about the TSW stud kits? First do they work with OEM wheels with standard offset and no spacers? I was worried the studs would stick out to far.
A. Our wheel studs are the shortest available for the MINI. All TSW studs are 65mm overall length with 51mm protruding from the hub. Many of our customers use TSW wheel studs on OEM MINI wheels but it really depends on the thickness of the wheel on how much they stick out. A lot of customers buy one stud and one lug nut for testing then keep those as spares when they order the kit. Our wheel studs accommodate up to an 8mm spacer on most wheels.
Q. I have some new Team Dynamic wheels and I really need a smaller tuner lug because the lug holes are to close to the walls of the wheel making a thick socket a problem for a tire shop in changing/rotating the wheels. Do the TSW studs and lug nuts allow for more room like a tuner lug would?
A. Our lug nuts are very thin as is the spline drive tool to tighten or remove them. We know they work with the Team Dynamics wheels very well. Customers should NEVER use an impact wrench on our lug nuts since that can damage the spline drive tool. Tire shops almost always use impact wrenches so you have to tell them NOT to use them.
