The oil filled rubber OEM upper motor mount on the early MINI used till Dec 2003 on 2002 to early 2004 cars with oem part # 22116760448. Always FAILS, it’s just a matter of time. They will leak out, then sink and even tear in half. The TSW motor mount is made of high grade urethane specifically made to replace it. We chose a durometer that will not cause extra vibration. Due to the lower profile of the OEM mount on the early MINI’s. It is a direct replacement. All new installation hardware is included.
This unit was both track and street tested as are all of our products. Made in the USA this is simply the best motor mount available for your MINI.

We all know how much the Stock OEM #22116778610 mount MINI starting using in Dec 2003 and later R53/52/50 Motor Mount SUCKS!
NOTE - Installing any aftermarket mount may add NVH into your cabin, regardless of what we have done to minimize the effect. If you are sensitive to NVH, you may wish to reconsider installing this or any other aftermarket mounts.
The TSW Damper Kit will not work with this mount and is not needed. The benefits of the TSW Damper Kit are also in this mount.
After helping TSW get this back on the front burner and months of devo they are SHIPPING. The part you see to the here will have a few changes but what you see is what you will get. You may also find you don't need any motor damper or brace with this unit and our test unit showed little to no downsides with this part. It also now ships with a NEW OEM bolt #22116766753.

MINI OEM Lower Engine Mount for R50, R53 & R53
If you have replaced your upper motor mount, you should inspect the lower motor mount. A failed upper mount puts a lot of stress on the lower mount and can cause cracking in the rubber or total failure. If you replaced the oil filled upper motor mount with the TSW urethane mount and extra feel vibration (NVH) in your MINI off idle, the lower mount is most likely toast. We have replaced a few lowers after installing the upper TSW and while the lower didn’t “LOOK” bad it in fact was and once replaced the off idle NVH was GONE!

TSW Engine Damper
The TSW Damper is one of the best BANG for your buck MODS on the market. Not only does it save wear and tear on motor mounts it lays the power you have to the road like you have never felt in your MINI before. A True Do It Yourself Mod.
The TSW engine damper kit keeps the engine from rocking fore and aft as it applies power to the wheels. This motion stores and releases energy in the drivetrain in the form of uncontrolled pulses, or "whips".
This drivetrain lash causes harshness in the drivetrain, reduces traction, tears up engine mounts and stresses the engine and transaxle. The engine damper restricts the rocking motion of the engine while adding minimal vibration to the car, unlike engine mount inserts or urethane mounts.
MINI fanatics will IMMEDIATELY notice the difference in throttle response and shifting.
Kit includes bombproof brackets - no mounting to wimpy sheet metal here! And, the damper is mounted where it can be easily serviced and away from direct engine heat.
NOTE - Installing an ETD kit may add NVH into your cabin, regardless of what we have done to minimize the effect. If you are sensitive to NVH, you may wish to reconsider installing this or any other ETD solution. If you have our older red, blue or titanium engine damper with heim joint mounts, you may want to replace it with this improved version, especially if the original damper needs serviced. This is a direct replacement.

The later builds have a different upper engine mount that has proven longevity issues, especially if you participate in DE's or autocross, but we've seen failures even on pampered street cars!
