Silver is the best thermal and electrical conductor of all metals and provides far superior electron flow for best possible spark plug spark delivery. This spark plug feature is beneficial in forced induction applications, or applications where the ignition system is pushed to the limit in modified power applications and applications with hard to ignite fuels such as alcohol, LPG, Nitro methane and other. High Flow Foam Filter for your R56!
The ALTA panel filter is not just a normal panel filter replacement like many others. The older R53 Mini air box was made pretty well in that the portion above and below the filter is very open. The New R56 filter is much different!
The lower portion of the R56 filter has very little room for air to travel across the entire filter. We saw room for improvement in this filter by making it slightly offset and slightly thinner. This simple change allows for more air to be drawn across the entire filter. Besides that, it is a high flow foam filter, which like all our other filters provides less restriction, and the ability to clean it for the life of the car.
From the above diagram you can see how much thicker the OEM filter is and how far it hangs down. The Alta filter provides roughly 2 times the volume of air under the filter. Dyno results will follow very soon! Installation of this filter can be done in 5 minutes of work and be clean hundreds of times before needing replacement.

The ALTA Silicone inlet hose connects the stock air box to the throttle body. The factory part is corrugated and ribbed on the inside. Turbulence is created and air flow velocity is reduced, compromising throttle response and upper end HP. Our silicone hose is mirror smooth promoting a high velocity air charge. The inner diameter of the OEM hose is very small compared to the ALTA hose. This is one of the reasons to why our intake systems make more power than the competition!
This silicone piece is available in high gloss blue, red and black to dress up the engine bay.

Below are some of the many dyno runs backing up our claim of highest gaining Wheel HP intake on the Mini market. The intake gains are very similar with different pulleys install, exhaust, headers and chips all gaining 10-15WHP. The below test is a bone stock Mini S with only a 15% Version 2.0 SC pulley and intake being installed. We do not have a pulley only graph at this time.

Introducing the ALTA Tensioner Stop! While the idea of this part is not new, our execution of it is. This unique design allows the end user to install the part faster than other designs, and function the same with ZERO chance of failing.
Why do you need an ALTA Tensioner Stop? At some point in your cars life, the serpentine belt that allows the crank pulley to drive the Supercharger and AC, will fail. When it fails, there is a failsafe built into the OEM tensioner mechanism to keep the tensioner from destroying other parts, but the failsafe fails! When this happens, the 3 parts that get destroyed can cost $300 in parts and not to mention the labor to replace them. This is where a tensioner stop comes into play. It a failsafe for a failsafe!
The ALTA Tensioner Stop essentially hooks around both ends of Tensioner dampener and limits the travel of tensioner arm. We have designed it to limit the travel of the tensioner to the same point as the OEM tensioner stop. This allows for normal travel of the tensioner up to the point at which the OEM tenionser stop fails.
Some designs require you to remove the OEM tensioner assembly from the car (jacking up the motor is necessary) and completely unbolt the tensioner dampener to install. The ALTA Tensioner Stop still needs the motor slightly jacked up, but allows the Tensioner assembly to be left in the vehicle and only the loosening of one bolt is needed for installation. This saves about 30 minutes of shop labor to install it.

ALTA Performance™ has developed an aggressive intercooler air diverter for your Supercharged Mini Cooper. While the stock hood scoop and plastic intercooler diverter may do a reasonable job for the average MINI buyer, the more serious enthusiast will appreciate our simple, inexpensive way to improve air flow and increase efficiency of the stock intercooler.
The ALTA Performance™ powder coated diverter replaces the flimsy plastic factory unit. It is both taller and wider than the factory unit, thus forcing a larger volume of cool air over the intercooler surface. This increase in airflow will lower intake temperatures. The diverter will seal smoothly to the under hood surface without damaging the finish.
To add to the appearance of your new air diverter we include new intercooler hose couplers. Made from high temp silicone, these couplers will replace the small rubber hose connectors on either side if your intercooler. Silicone couplers are available in glossy Red, Blue and Black.
For high temperature situations, where maximum cooling is desired we have built in a water sprayer jet with a dual spray pattern. When activated the sprayer will douse the front and rear sections of the intercooler with a high-pressure mist of water. As the water evaporates from the intercooler surface it will increase the efficiency of your intercooler. You can activate this while on the move or at a stop light for maximum horsepower.
Testing has shown consistent post intercooler inlet air temperature reductions by 20 degrees with just the larger diverter. Adding the water spray system reduces post intercooler inlet temperatures over 25degrees! Expect even bigger results in high speed and hot weather conditions.

The ALTA Performance air diverter is the only aftermarket diverter to include a water spray system. The ALTA air diverter includes a water spray nozzle, hose and mounting location so that the user can spray the intercooler with a fine mist of water from the comfort of the driver’s seat. Spraying water onto the intercooler will instantly lower the temperature of the intercooler core.
